About Our Founders:

Marla Olson & Connie Brown

Marla: Pillars of Peace Founder

When my grandson was diagnosed with autism I quickly realized how challenging this journey is, and how unknown it can be for the families. Even though an autism diagnosis does not come with a manual, it can come with family.  As grandparents, family members, and caregivers of families affected by Autism we are the support that comes alongside them to help them be stronger in their journey . We are the pillars that support them and their needs. This group was formed to give community to those who are pillars of support for their loved ones.

Connie: Pockets of Peace Founder

My sons autism diagnosis changed my life in every way. I quickly realized how isolating this journey can be. I noticed a huge gap between the autism diagnosis and the families getting support. Support, resources, community is one of the hardest things to find in this journey. I started Pockets of Peace because I never want another family or caregiver to feel alone. I want to help people find hope and pockets of peace in this journey so they can keep going when things get tough. I founded this company to make sure no one is ever alone.
