Point Men: Men Who Care For Autistic Individuals

POINT MEN A Pockets of Peace group for Fathers (and Grandfathers) of Autistic children:

Definition: “Point Man” is a military term for the person who is the leader of a small Special Forces unit and is responsible for their safety. He should also be an advocate for their cause or purpose. A dad of a child with autism must choose to be a crucial member of their child’s team, supporting, protecting, and leading. To be a dad of an autistic child we must be Point Men supporting and protecting our family units. This can take its toll, therefore we created Point Men meetings to help support and encourage Fathers of Autistic children. The purpose of our Point Men group is to offer a non judgmental place of fellowship, encouragement and guidance for men.

Please check our events page to see when our next Point Men meet up is. Contact Connie Brown at 720-202-4902 for more information on this group.
